Hallmark Movies foretold Trump Nation

We know this in our soul.

That thing they call "everyday Americans" LOVE the HallmarkChannel movies. Especially women. Beautiful parents who love their kids and their country. Heroine always ends up winning her man. Corny & romantic. What's not to like?

Never thought of ourselves that way as we won the Exeter Day School spelling bee back in 1955 (?). Never thought of it when we got through the gates at Harvard Design School in the 90's. Thought we were pretty darned smart, fergossake. But all the while we knew there was something wicked wrong with the liberal/progressive mindset. Utopian vs. Tragic View of human nature. Coupla twitter hashtags sum things up: #gramscianmarch #virtuesignaling
