"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

"We've always said — whether anyone was listening or not — that the forces of darkness (apologies to wolves, who have their own imperatives, which we totally respect but would always defend our own against) are forever waiting just outside the campfire of civilization to move in for the kill."

Update: The forces of light now boarding Modulator's Friday Ark #248.

Tiny is the prettiest little angel on the planet. I absolutely love every hair on her little self! And the photographer is pretty terrific too!

Such pretty photos. Mine are mostly indoor cats, but I occasionally let them onto the back porch or yard as a treat. As mostly indoor cats they're too hesitant to go far.

True, how true.
Fifty years ago it seemed that civilization was triumphant over these forces, but now I'm not so sure. Fifty years ago the wilds of Afghanistan or Somalia were outlands no one had to worry about. Today it is they who are encroaching on us, not the other way around.
