In the countdown to supper, Tiny and Baby keep cool in the shade of the fence at the top of the eastern drive this afternoon as record high New England temperatures for this date -- 88.9° in Chelsea-by-the-Sea -- remind us of summer, even as we're already three days into fall.
The Full Harvest Moon had crossed the southern sky in the wee hours but disappeared behind the mountain range of salt across the street before dawn, just as the Chelsea Grays were bringing up the rear in their campaign for breakfast.
Mirroring each other's pose, they "bookend" for the cameras.
How many minutes did you say till supper?
What a nice way to start my day! Pictures of the exquisite Chelsea Greys! Such style, such grace.
Meanwhile, Sam and Tim are 9 days from moving into their new home - with a screened porch! Ah, what fun they will have. Sam especially.

Well, in my house, that pose is usually accompanied my much meowing, in case we are unable to read cat-minds. Bon Appetit, guys!

Lovely pics. The countdown to supper in my house involves a lot of nagging, fussing and general mayhem. My two have never been subtle!
