As the lights were going out yesterday around the edges of our recalcitrant aperture (note darkening lower right), we managed to catch a sliver of a bird's-eye view of "the boys" through an upstairs window looking down upon the terrace in the Sam-Adams afterglow of our late-summer cookout with blogfriends down Goomp's yesterday.

You betcha they are both "keepers" - and not just because they're serious-handsome! They are competent human beings - that's what makes them valuable! Far too few of those nowadays!
