Tiny "circling the herd" on Sunday as diners played defense with their lobsters, clams and mussels during the Down East Clambake at Goomp's
We're posting a cute kitty pic because we didn't want to leave that somewhat unnerving image of the Shellfish McToast at the top of our blog overnight. As our imail correspondent delicately put it this evening:
She: I have to tell you . . . it was a stunning photograph, but did not look appetizing to my untrained eye. If I hadn't known that it was a foodstuff, I probably would have been enthralled, though.
We: Tuck was semi horrified. He was relieved I didn't offer him one for breakfast.
She: PHEW. I was totally horrified. :-) That mussel in the upper corner looks as though it has a black eyeball staring out, and the rest looks mostly like worms. What IS that black thing that looks like an eye?
We: I was going to ask you. We are always reading eyes into things.
She: It reminds me of what Lawrence ate out of a can, and choked down, when his Arab guide offered it to him.
We: [Pursuant to a quick Google search] Perhaps it was an excurrent siphon.
She: Things I wish I didn't know.
Another morning treat is another picture of the fabulous Tiny or the equally incredible Baby!

I'll take the cute Tiny or Babe kitty pics anytime, shellfish or no shellfish.
I knew what they were but still the shellfish looked icky.
As for the eye, I thought it looked more like a black pearl, shows where my mind is.

Love shellfish too, but, however technically expert, that breakfast was GROSS to look at.
