Babe (above right with coon cat card look-alike) and Tiny (below lurking in the grass across the lawn) are shocked, shocked, at the behavior of the local squirrel population.
In autumn a young male squirrel's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.
Squirrels start mating when they are a year old. It takes about six weeks from the time the squirrels mate until the baby squirrels, called kittens, are born. Twice a year, in the spring and at the end of the summer, the female squirrel has two to five kittens.
Who knew?
Update: More shocking animal antics at Modulator's 103rd Friday Ark.
Is Babe a Jedi Knight? It looks like he's armed with a Lightsaber.

That's some sense of motion you've captured there, or is there something you've been trying to obscure?

I would have thought it was "Motion Photography", but the background is blurred, also. I guess it's best that way! LOL.
Pretty Cat.
Hope you get shots of the new "kittens", when they arrive.

C. Ann: I was shooting from inside the house out through a window screen. Hence the blurred effect.
