We love it when you go out to the kitchen -- to take the dinner dishes to the sink or some such -- only to discover Tiny firmly ensconced in "The Safety Zone" atop the Krups coffeemaker, where she is out of harm's way. There are no rules broken and no words that can be said. She rules as long as she stays above the fray.
Here's the scene as we came around the corner from the dining room after supper.
This is priceless. Big old Bubba would love a perch like that. Instead, he is swept off the counter and dropped easily to the floor. In the way? Out you go!
I honestly cannot imagine living in a home without cats. Family, furniture and fun, all wrapped up into a purrball. Who needs heaven?

Around here, a cat on top of the counter = dead cat.

This photo gave me my first smile of the day. As Charlotte wrote on her web once, "Some cat."

One of my cats like to perch on top of the fridge to relish his role as master of all he surveys.

Can cats purrcolate?

KT: They purrcolate if there's cream in your coffee.
