A doggie on a leash with his mom, a comely young person of the fair sex, strikes fear in the hearts of the religious policemen of Iran.

"We are also going to combat women wearing skimpy headscarves, short and form-fitting coats, and the ones walking pets in parks and streets," said Tehran's police chief according to Aljazeera, who reports with a straight face this morning:

Every post-pubescent female in Iran, regardless of her nationality or religion, is obliged to observe the Islamic dress code and cover her shape and hair whenever outside the home.

Since the 1979 Islamic revolution, Iran's ruling clerics have been trying to keep women under wraps and away from the risk of "Westoxication".

What kind of man defines manliness by combatting women walking pets in streets? No man a real woman could ever respect. These men are not men. They are tremulous little boys afraid of their own response to real women. 'Wonder what Harvey C. Mansfield would have to say?

Don't forget when these men say that they can't help but rape women in the West because they are all dressed like "whores."

It's pretty funny how afraid they seem to be of women. Apparently they can't face them (literally). They are a truly sick society. No wonder they're stuck in the dark ages.

As for the Saudi boys - sounds just like what happens when an over protected kid (male or female) in America goes off to college and mom isn't right there to tell them "no". They never learned how to deal with life and then suddenly they're thrown right in the deep end. No one should be surprised at the result. But Western women should learn how to take down the little snots if they attack - not only take 'em down - make sure they have a REAL hard time getting back up off the ground.

You know, I honesty can't see what made Mohammed so great to where people would listen to him. I know that sounds horrible of me, but from what I've read of the Koran, he advocates violence and injustice. If you look at history, he advocated the same thing whilst violently spreading his word. Also, he was not above marrying a little girl (she was not fatherless, but a daughter of one of his closest followers) and having sexual relations with her at about the age of 9. He had all these strange conceptions about women themselves-"silence is consent". I don't see anything admirable about the man himself in history or in the Koran's writings.

No wonder why they have issues with our own culture. I think they realize the sick perversions within their own and project them onto us.

Western Civilization is in trouble due to complete lack of understanding of the changing world. There is not enough 20th-century energy to supply the wants of our more populous world. Atomic energy is the only solution unless we watch while billions of people are killed by religious tyrants as well as by those who are defending against them. The West has no given right to petroleum ahead of Easterners. The idea of supplying enough energy from alcohol is a childish dream. Wake up Westerners. The rest of the world is not going to watch you live in luxury while they crawl in the mud.

Actually Goomp - I was reading... must've been Instapundit but I can't quite remember now... Some of the old lefties who have been vehemently against nuclear power are changing their minds. (big of them isn't it) Saying - it's the only way to cut down on use of fossil fuel. (then again those of us with commonsense knew that years ago)

I know this is shallow, but comely is a bit of an understatement!
On a more relevant note: in the university town in which I work and live, there are bar and pub hangouts that are little meccas for the mid-east muslim students. I think we can really win this war simply by mass exposure to decadence.

Those that insist on enforcing women’s dress codes which, in the most conservative examples, force women to go about in what could be viewed as ‘sacks’ with eye holes cut in them are not, in my view, protecting the honour of women. Rather they are dishonouring themselves by demonstrating that they don’t have the strength of character, sincerity of spirit or personal will to control their own basest instincts. The emotional (EQ) and spiritual (SQ) quotients of intelligence that need to be developed through effort seem to be lacking in many. IQ is a ‘fluke’ and is not enough; the other two quotients are essential in large amounts to overcome issues of personal stupidity. Am I being kind or is it that many of these so called protectors of women suffer from plain old ‘dumbness’ borne of a cultural indoctrination that looks to the past and pleads for the return of the ‘dark ages’! I know the issue of increasing levels of personal sovereignty is difficult for some to get their limited narrow minds around however, lets hope that those who are oppressors ‘in the name of god’ mature and get the idea eventually. I don’t thing that thinking responsible people should need to be either ‘helpless sheep’ or ‘dutiful slaves’.
