Babe and the giant faux chocolate Easter Bunny -- papier mache covered with foil -- face off over colored eggs nested in iridescent excelsior, with crystal candlesticks and translucent candles lending a festive air for yesterday's Easter Dinner.
"Love is patient, love is kind . . .
A striking color combo -- lavender Peeps for Sweet Potato aux Peeps was forced by the unavailability of white Peeps, which were all sold out (Gasp!) by the time we got to Hannaford's Saturday morning.
"It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud . . .
The menu: Crown Roast of Pork with Apple and Sausage stuffing and Perfect Gravy plus Susie's Delmonico Potatoes and Buttered Peas. After a walk to scout out the newest trophy mansion raising its ugly head down the way -- there goes the neighborhood -- we headed back to Camelot-by-the-Sea for Lime Dream Pie and Coffee.
"It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs . . .
Afterwards, plenty of leftovers to keep 'em happy when the guests headed out.
"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres . . .
Tossed into the rubbish, SpongeBob keeps on smiling.
"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." Thank you, Susie, for your beautiful reading from Corinthians.
Now I am hungry again...
The Corinthians reference was a perfect reflection, with the pleasant imagery...

Sissy: I just started reading "Catholic Matters" by Richard John Neuhaus and I think it's going to be a life-altering read!
