Computer progams can "Fence me in".

I have never done it, but on googling about a bit (and getting lots of crap instead instead of a faq page somewhere) I'm thinking that the TIFF file has to be converted to another format first.

I don't know what the OCR software takes as a standard (is there OCR software that you use? I don't even know about that!)... JPG? GIF? if it's one of those you would use your photoshop (or whatever picture software you use) to convert the TIFF file, then change the converted file to OCR... sorry I'm not up on all the current optical scanner stuff. Maybe someone else uses it and can help.

Assuming you still have access to a Windows PC, you could try SimpleOCR.
