Meryl Yourish's Carnival of the Cats is the cat's meow at InstaPundit. InstaWife Dr. Helen is there too, not to mention the anti-Sheehan "Freedom is not free" babes, proving once again that pretty women are where it's at. Sorry, Cindy.
Someday maybe we'll write about the iMac G5 hell we've been through these last few days -- while others worried about the roofs over their heads, flooded thoroughfares and clean drinking water -- but it's just too raw at the moment. After all else failed, we had to back up our files and completely erase the hard drive -- only a couple of months old, fergossake -- and start from scratch. It took hours what with half a dozen tech support episodes interspersed with endless wait-on-hold Musak moments. Brain fatigue has set in.
But a delicious moment such as that shown in animal magnetism does help relieve the stress.

Ah... I so feel your pain! I finally got here and what happens? My network card dies AND my network hub dies... it's always something. I've spent nearly the entire day getting things going. What a pain. We'll see how long it works now.

Welcome to Taxachusetts! Spending the entire day getting things going sounds familiar.

LOL - well so far I'm paying less in sales tax and less in property tax than I did in Illinois...

I despise having to listen to music while on hold, almost as much as I despise being told every 45 seconds how important I am to the entity that's got me on hold.
