What is she trying to hide? Another experiment in getting that elusive thing, what Jill of Pajamas Media refers to as "a good color shot that you like." There's always the old cast shadow effect (above, with Tuck's keyboard lower right and Steve, E.D. and Brian upper right lending color and texture and iconographic attributes).
Then there's the reflection in a window thing (above and here yesterday) that's akin to being illuminated by moonlight (albedo, blogged here and here) to soften the ravages of time [You mean character lines. --ed] etched upon our brow. Notice image -- not a reflection -- of Tuck's computer, lower half of picture. It was inside the window. We were outside, holding the camera as we took the shot, with the sun at our back. Hence the illusion that the computer was between us and the viewer. Lots of good visual ideas you could exploit to express the inner blogger.
Now to get serious about those issues Jill wants us to talk about during our phone interview with her -- for a "short, breezy" PJM bio -- tomorrow morning:
You and your life/career, what your blogsite is all about, and what role you hope Pajamas will play as the blogosphere expands.
Nervous? Yes. First time? No, we've been nervous lots of times. Time to review everything we've ever blogged about PJM, not to mention why we blog. But listen to this. Technorati finally stopped sending back automated replies and responded personally to our longstanding, mewling complaints about faulty listing of our blog in their system:
My apologies, Sissy. Your shorter URL had been erroneously blocked. I have removed that block and reindexed, and you should see your posts show up now.
So it WASN'T all in our mind after all.
With all the house hunting, I've gotten so far off my blog reading... not to mention posting. Congrats on the upcoming bio!
