This fellow who runs a cybercave called The Truth Laid Bear holds so much power over us little people out in the hinterlands of the blogosphere. He has jerked us around from the high 200's to the high 800's in the last period of time with never an explanation. Fed up with our queries, he emailed us recently to tell us we had become a nuisance and to bug off. Now, for the last three days at least, you can't even get the info he's supposed to be offering. Can anything be done about it?

I'm guessing that it is a labor of love for N.Z. Bear, as Ed more subtly suggests! Good luck with it, though. I'm finding it frustrating myself, but have less courage than you.:)

You could offer up the money to hire a unix/web specialist to help him trouble shoot the problems he is having.
Figure on anywhere from 75 to 150 per hour, and probably a minimum of 20 hours. (Plus expenses, so you will want to get someone local if you can - airfare and hotel and car rental and meals can add up in a hurry.)

The Ecosystem is a nice amusement. Call it a public service, a blog nuisance, but don't let it get under your skin. If you don't like the Ecosystem, don't partake of it. Your choice.
