An American-style haiku (5-7-5) inspired by Goomp's report of his adored pussycat's first big kill of the year:
Lucie left a mouse
On the steps in the garage.
Who needs a robin?
Gump imails:
Great hunting in such weather. [The mouse] probably lived in the wood pile. Sign of spring?
We were hit with a blustery, drifting snowstorm last night, with below-normal temps and wind chill today. Logan Airport was even closed down for six hours. But the sun's getting higher in the southern sky every day -- same declination now as early October -- and will make short work of the snowfall in the next couple of days. There may still be a few late-winter storms ahead, but it's only a matter of time now till the red, red robin comes bob, bob bobbin' along.

Yeah, it can stop snowing now. *grin*
