"Khamenei: Bush will fail to topple Iran's clerical leadership," headlines Aljazeera this afternoon.
Oh, yeah? Pardon us, big guy. Among others, you don't speak for us, nor for many of your countrymen:
Responding Thursday to the U.S. President George W. Bush’s threats against Iran, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the American President will surely fail like his four predecessors to topple the Islamic Republic’s clerical leadership.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran, because of defending the rights of the oppressed and confronting oppressors, is being attacked by the global tyrants," Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was quoted as saying.
"Bush is the fifth U.S. president to want to uproot the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic," he told university students.
Ask the young Irani bloggers who is oppressing whom and who is defending the rights of whom. This Khamenei fellow reminds us of CBS's Dan Rather and CNN's Jordan Eason. They know what's best for us little people. Not. Their days are numbered.
