Baby steps out into the Kitty Play Yard this afternoon to case the joint (photo without flash)
With 2 1/2 feet of snow in the side yard -- what with drifting, not to mention steady snowfall -- we started shoveling out over the bottom half of the Dutch door, moving on outside to carve a path to the little house plus a side route to the patio table, a good place for poodies to jump up and command a larger view.
Satisfying his curiosity re goings on inside the little house, the Babe emerges to complete his reconnaissance exercises (photos with flash)
Pausing before reentering the house, Baby suddenly lowered his ears, crouched down and then rushed inside, scampering up the stairs. The Crazy Hour.

Tuck was in his element, snow-blowing his heart out, although when asked, he acknowledged that today's 3-4 hours of it was enough to satisfy him for the next period of time.
Meanwhile, Tuck manned the heavy-duty part of snow clearance, snow-blowing the driveway and sidewalk and shoveling the front and side stairs. His reward halfway through was a steaming cup of hot chocolate.
Now that's what I call the way to survive the blizzard of the century.

No, a blower working with perfect effect, yet near its limit, rewards. A bigger machine would be overkill.
