Cal Thomas as Louis XIV. "In my heart I prefer fame above all else, even life itself . . . Love of glory has the same subtleties as the most tender passions . . . In exercising a totally divine function here on earth, we must appear incapable of turmoils which could debase it."
"What's the only thing dorkier than this photo of Cal Thomas?" asks Rob of Fine? Why Fine? and answers his own question:
This Cal Thomas column praising Kathie Lee:
This girl is plucky. She leaves one high-risk position and embraces another. She has invented herself. I like that . . . You go, Kathie Lee.
No, you go, Cal.
We second the emotion.
Too funny.
Is there an audience for Kathie Lee's stuff? I don't know. But she's been out of the spotlight for so long that she may get a short burst of notoriety again before everyone realizes why she was so annoying in the first place.

My theory is that Cal Thomas sees himself writ small/large in Kathie Lee's rise/fall/risette . . .
