Cats don't wear jewelry. Don't even mention tiaras.
A booful birthday card from B&E -- best ever -- but the image got us to thinking -- doesn't everything? Cats don't wear jewelry (not to mention tiaras). It reminded us of the White House's whitewashing of First Dog Barney's cold-blooded dressing down. A supposedly light-hearted "White House Tour" being broadcast far and wide shows the Leader of the Free World scolding the First Dog for having "lost" the new puppy, Miss Beazley. The talking heads, anchors and readers are all tittering with delight, but Barney's eyes tell all. He is being made a fool of, and he knows it but doesn't know exactly why. He senses that soon he will be second dog to the new puppy. Nothing sadder than the heart of a former puppy who knows he's no longer the dearest one in the whole wide world. Our heart is breaking for the little guy. Don't toy with our emotions, Mr. President.
Awwww, kitty looks like our dearly departed Fuzzball. Will have to scan in some pics, she lived with us pre digital camera.
