I'll always, always keep the memory of

"May your wildest birthday dreams come true"

"The way you wear your hat, The way you sip your tea, The memory of all that, No, no! They can't take that away from me."  Gershwin is a man for all seasons. His poetry repeated and repeated in our mind's ear this morning as we savored a birthday card from Mabs, Peter and Lauren, the heartland relatives whose joi de vivre walked right in and stole the shadows away for a few precious days last fall. We set up Lauren with her own blog -- A Photographer's  Pursuit of Life -- back then, and now she's working on her portfolio for photo school. Way cool.
