Up with the chickens before dawn, Tiny and I prepare the turkey for its later ritual by fire.
Tiny performs the taste test, but in her heart, she knows the time is not right and retires to the couch to await the proper moment to move in for the kill.
Tiny and Donna of Pajama Pundits are keeping us in stitches, to borrow Donna's felicitous phrase for a pleasingly personal post in support of our Friends of Iraq Blogger Challenge (donate early and often):
There are two machines which, with their accoutrements, dominate two rooms and several closets in this house. They are my computer and my sewing machine. If I were faced with having to give one of them up, the choosing might drive me nuts.
On a personal level, the Sewing Machines for Women in Ramadi project is inspiring. I finished a major project for a home sewer last June, and put the machine up for a while. Now that I've recovered from the trauma of making a wedding dress and six bride's maids dresses, I'm ready to tackle a much smaller project. Like boxer shorts.
As we wrote to Donna this morning, come on, girl. Post some pictures of those gorgeous gowns!
Thanks! I'll have to ask the girls about posting their photos. They all looked gorgeous, so maybe they won't mind.
I hope I have as much fun as Tiny today. Looks like we'll both be eating well, though I generally wait until the latter stages of preparation for taste testing.

Me too, but Tiny has always been a risk taker. :)
