Catching sight out the kitchen window of a Maxfield Parrishesque pink column of steam puffing up behind the salt piles (from the power plant in Charlestown) during l'heure pink, we ran out with the Pentax Optio 450 for a few art shots. A seagull had decided to alight atop the highest point of salt, making our job easy.
It wasn't only the seagull that made things easy for the photographer's hungry eye. Just as we hurried out to capture images of the pink cloud of steam, there was the tanker Romo Maersk from Hojer, Denmark steaming down the Creek. It's one of those ships that has its own website, only guess what? It appears to be a completely different craft than the one pictured on the website. Or maybe the same hull but with new superstructure and paint job? Can't tell for sure from what's available online.
