Gray squirrel forages at the base of the tree in The Maple Court (left) moments before Tiny moves in, persuading the squirrel to retreat up the tree out of harm's way
Mind of Mog recaps "More News In A Nutshell," freeing us up for more catblogging, while our sororal muse inspires our art with music to our ears (AAMAMS*):
I know that the world is on the edge of disaster, but, what I really like seeing is PEECTURES, PEECTURES, of the life forces that you've captured so beautifully! Stay with this one, sweetie . . . you ARE a camera.
So. We looked out the window to check on Tiny and caught her "pointing" -- freeze-framed in concentration at something at the other end of the terrace. Following her gaze, we spotted a gray squirrel flitting about at the bottom of the Silver Maple among the indoor plants set outside for summer. We ran for the camera, and Tiny was closing in for the kill as we opened the door for a couple of shots. Her mother, Sweet Pea, was known in these parts as "The Squirrel Slayer," and both Tiny and Baby have slain reckless squirrels at the base of this very tree on occasion, even as they were constrained by their tethers. Knowing this, the squirrels like to play "chicken," testing their mettle by taunting the Chelsea Grays.
*All about me and my show.
Update: Now this re our Tiny from Mind of Mog:
One of the prettiest cats in the sphere not mine scoping out dinner.
