"It is somewhat ironic that the fact that the war is going poorly for the terrorists is a well-kept secret that leaks out via a post in Arabic on an Islamofascist website," writes Hindrocket at Power Line, citing a UPI report:
The top al-Qaeda operative in Iraq, Abu Mussib al-Zarqawi, says things aren't going well for the terrorists there:
One of Iraq's leading insurgents has posted a plea for help from al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden on an Islamic Web site, WorldTribune.com said Thursday. Credited to Abu Mussib al-Zarqawi, the 9-page message said his insurgents were racing against time to destabilize the post-Saddam Hussein government and its security apparatus.
"The room for maneuver has started to become smaller," al-Zarqawi said. "The grip is getting tighter around the necks of the holy warriors. With the deployment of soldiers and police, the future has become frightening."
In another post, Hindrocket points out something that has been driving us totally crazy lately:
The claim that the Bush administration alleged a connection between Iraq and Sept. 11 is, of course, false. But newspapers like the Times and the Post are caught up in the excitement of the election year; they deliberately seek to create the impression that the administration made such a claim, and that it has somehow been "refuted." Neither suggestion is true.
"Liberal" America is mush. They demand instant gratification with little or no effort other than to distort the truth. If the majority of our citizens have gone soft and expect self-esteem to be all that is requirerd to have the world love us, the US will be lucky to be free 50 years from now. The world needs to respect us, not love us.
