Monica Crowley on FOXNews is channeling our thoughts re last night's sandbox fight GW press conference:
The questions were disrespectful . . . of the "When did you stop beating your wife"variety.
One of them asked the President whether he was going to apologize to the families the way Richard Clarke did, and he answered the way he should: "The only ones who should apologize are Osama bin Laden and the terrorists."
After one of the bratty five-year-olds "journalists" asked "Do you agree that you have never said you ever made a mistake?" we switched to an infomercial. The journalism schools need to revisit their teaching methods. As Roger L. Simon, who thinks GW "did very well and helped himself with this press conference," writes this morning:
Against the media, which is populated with people desperate to stand out from the crowd to make themselves known, [the President] automatically looks good.
