A fledgling blogger, just pushed out of the nest by InstaPundit the other day, gets nightsweats. We're LOL with species recognition:
"It is three. O'flipping clock. In the morning. And I just woke up thinking "The bloooooggg!" Is this normal?"
Whomping Willow is losing sleep over the need to share her "mugged-by-reality" experience during a stay in Papua New Guinea a few years back:
Before that trip, my worldview included this notion that somehow civilization had gotten out of control and we were going along 'the bad road' . . . and we somehow needed to get back to a place where we were 'closer to nature' and all that.
The upshot is, on that trip I met a BUNCH of people, an entire country full of people, who could be classified as living 'close to nature' -- and it turned that worldview on its head. I am shocked at how integral that belief was to all my other views and how much I have changed since I discarded it.
'Sounds good to us.
