Sissy you have nailed it perfectly. The ad grated on me when it was first broadcast. And knowing that the CEO of Coke is a Muslim added fuel. It was a bad commercial, at the wrong time and in the wrong place and should never have seen the light of day. On the other hand, if it made people more aware of what's happening in our country - enough so that they'll push back with some strength - it maybe was a blessing in disguise!

Good point, Gayle. :) Thinking and blogging about our fellow Americans' various self-revelatory reactions helped clarify the message my gut was sending.
