Technorati has us seeing double
Screen shot of our Technorati account shows we've "claimed 2 blogs."
Here's the problem. Technorati reads our one blog as two blogs. One is ranked 2,415, and the other is ranked 6,345. In TypePad's architecture (the right word?) the URL sisu.typepad.com/sisu is nested within the URL sisu.typepad.com, but Technorati lists them as two unique blogs. Hence our ranking is presumably watered down. Where would we stand, we wonder, if the ranking powers that be were able to combine the 232 links of the one URL with the 445* links of the other?
We had never "claimed" the nested URL -- sisu.typepad.com/sisu -- in our Technorati account before this morning. Immediately thereafter, we started seeing our latest posts listed there. Hmmm. That's progress. Maybe we're on to something? But no. Technorati is still claiming the outer URL -- sisu.typepad.com -- was "Last updated 69 days ago."
We've emailed Technorati and are waiting for a reply. Meanwhile, does anybody out there have a quick fix?
*Note: TTLB Ecosystem says we have 426 "Inbound Unique" links. Both URL's are listed there, the nested one as "Alternate URL." Are we missing something?
Update: Another irregularity that might be a clue as to what's going on at TTLB: We're listed in his Community Page blogroll for The Cotillion, "ranked by links within this community," twice: #3 for sisu.typepad.com and #47 for sisu.typepad.com/sisu. Both links go, of course, to the same place, sisu's main page. Double hmmm.

Sisu - the blog is so good, they had to count it twice.

I like the way your mind works, David. :)

Sissy:
Are you still having this problem? I created a website at www.eJabs.com and my Wordpress installation resides at www.eJabs.com/blog.
Well, sure enough, Technorati has me "seeing double" as well!
Did you ever resolve this? Can you help me? I put an email in to Technorati, but I haven't heard anything back.
Thanks so much for your time.
