Why do we have to wait till 3:45 for supper, fergossake? Why can't we just eat now?
Tiny balances expectantly towards us atop Gomer, while Baby feigns nonchalance, finding a sudden urgency in washing his tail, in the supercharged moments of the countdown to supper.

Not at all, Mr. Kurtz. You're spot on re the use of paw washing as a "who me?" face-saving gesture amongst members of the cat community. :)
