Bloggin' in a winter wonderland

Babe steps out onto the front porch early morning to raise a paw to the wind.

NOAA WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EST THURSDAY (Don't you love how NOAA thinks all caps mean business?):

Today...Snow. Snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches. Highs in the mid 20s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight...Snow. Total storm accumulation of 5 to 8 inches. Windy with lows around 10 above. North winds 20 to 30 mph gusting to 45 mph causing considerable blowing and drifting.

A new bulk carrier arrival from yesterday -- haven't been able to identify it yet -- at Eastern Minerals across the street affords a moody pre-dawn photo op, with a passing tractor trailor leaving a mysterious yellow and red streak across the lower sector.

The snow is coming down in earnest now. Big time winter wonderland.
