"He deserves a medal, not a lawyer"
"We're getting lots of calls, and they're all in support," says Corporal Ace [do you suppose he gives that name to all the girls?], the young man who answered the phone when we called USMC Public Relations @ 703-614-1492 to offer our strong support for that Marine who's being obscenely smeared for -- as Al-Jazeera and its pals in the MSM are spinning it -- "shooting a wounded, unarmed Iraqi."
It was Jeff of Beautiful Atrocities who put us up to it with his urgent post "A message from Tammy Bruce." The "wounded, unarmed Iraqi" was a "murderous savage trying to trick one of our soldiers, who then did his job by killing that enemy," says Tammy:
One of our fighting men has come under "investigation" for shooting a terrorist who was pretending to be dead in a mosque.
Quite a few of our casualties as we liberated Fallujah were soldiers who approached the supposed dead or wounded terrorists only to be injured or killed because the body or person was boobytrapped. This was at a time of combat & our young man did his duty. He deserves a medal, not a lawyer.
Please contact the DOD, the White House, your congressional representatives & the USMC to express your support for that brave Marine. Tell them you expect him to be treated as a hero who did his job. Essentially, your voice must eclipse the leftist media who expect to make this another abu Ghraib.
Jeff's got the names and numbers to call and e-mail to make your views known. We've got the USMC notch on our belt. Now on to DOD, House and Senate, POTUS and VPOTUS. Let's ROLL!!!!!
Update: Called Jeff's House/Senate number and got the loveliest gal you'd ever want to talk to, but we think the number was too specific -- not a clearinghouse for all House/Senate numbers but only for Washington State. Even though we weren't one of her boss's constituents -- being from Taxachusetts -- she asked for our opinion. Sigh.
But then, we made the mistake of dialing up the Department of Offense Defense and got a bloodless recording that made our blood boil. Time to get with the program, Don.

I got the same number - is 202-224-3121 here http://www.house.gov/Welcome.shtml

I am sick. Sick with sadness by this horrible war. What is this doing to the American soldiers, to their families, to our communities? How long will be a nation of warriors, death, war?

Until the evil ones who kill innocents intentionally are stopped. There is no comparison between the way we and our enemy do battle. We bend over backwards to spare innocents, while they go out of their way to inflict maximum suffering on innocents.
