"Forget someone Tom?" asked Rob A of Fine? Why Fine? in a post we missed last week (out of town, don't you know?) that -- before the flood of Reagan tributes prompted by his death -- gets everything in proper perspective. 'Had been thinking about blogging these very thoughts ourselves, but Rob A does it for us in this post from yesterday:
All I will note, is that I spent a long time looking at photos of Reagan last week as I searched for a photo to include on this post. Which brings me back to the point of that post. Tom Freidman mentioned "George Bush 41, Mikhail Gorbachev, Brent Scowcroft, James Baker, Helmut Kohl, Margaret Thatcher and François Mitterrand" noting that he believed that they would all be judged "very kindly for the way they collectively took the Soviet Empire, which was tilted in the wrong direction for so long, and tilted it in the right direction, with barely a shot fired. That was one of the great achievements of the 20th century." The sole reason for that post was to point out that Freidman left Reagan off his list. It was intentional and only looks more partisan and foolish today as the entire country and the world acknowledges that it was Reagan who did the most to "tear down that wall." (With apologies to Allah.)

Thanks again Sissy.
Love the title of the post.
