Dummi-tude at the BBC, Part II

This dhimmitude thing at the BBC reminds us of the chilling effect that political correctness has on free debate in academia. Writes Natalie Solent at Samizdata re the recent unpleasantness at the BBC:

The point of the CRE's [Commission for Racial Equality] threats is not to carry them out, but to have a chilling effect on the next person who wants to write in a similar vein.
